About Panagiotis Ioannidis

Panagiotis Ioannidis, PhD

I am an AI scientist, advisor and engineer with a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Hamburg and more than a decade of experience working with complex data.

Astrophysics trained me to make decisions under uncertainty: to separate signal from noise, challenge assumptions and remain precise when evidence is incomplete. That discipline now shapes how I advise organizations on AI.

Through PI² Insights, I help leaders determine where AI should be used, where it should not, and how to introduce it without surrendering judgment, privacy or accountability. This is also the philosophy behind the Boring AI Initiative: useful systems, clear limits and human judgment intact.

My work combines strategic counsel, governance, research and selective implementation for leadership teams, family businesses and Mittelstand organizations, universities and research groups, and cultural or public institutions.
